Step 1: Carefully read this Anti-doping Agreement
This agreement is completed as part of WCHM Membership application or renewal. Completing your Masters Membership Registration acknowledges your compliance with WCHM Anti-doping policy.
- I have read the WCHM anti-doping policy and I am familiar with the CADP and will abide by all the applicable provisions.
- I consent to random anti-doping testing at the annual Canadian Masters Weightlifting Championship or any approved WCHM competition, or out-of-competition random testing, if applicable.
- I understand that refusing to submit to sample collection, evading sample collection, or tampering/attempting to tamper with any part of doping control, constitutes a violation of the anti-doping rules.
- I am aware that there may be sanctions for violation(s) to the anti-doping policy resulting from the use of prohibited substances and methods that are identified on the WADA Prohibited List.
- I understand that I have the right to request an appeal to the WCHM Anti-doping Disciplinary Committee’s decision with regards to testing and/or accusations involving violation of the anti-doping policy.
- I have completed all the required anti-doping education material.
- I have informed my coach(s) of all the above noted items in this agreement and have been assured that she/he will also adhere to the regulations, provisions, and sanctions outlined in all relevant policies. I also understand that I may be required to sign this form during an approved competition weigh in.

Step 3. Complete your membership registration and payment.
Before You Apply
All payments are to be paid online (no cheques, e-transfers, etc.). Your receipt of payment is your proof of membership. Membership numbers are not issued, nor membership cards sent.
Competition directors will request and receive a current, updated list of registered members for qualification for events. Any questions regarding membership can be directed to the President (use the contact form).
PLEASE NOTE: Members in the 30-34 age category cannot compete at IMWA international events, including the Pan American Masters Championships, or any Masters Events that do not recognize the 30-34 age category. If you change your email address or mailing address after your registration, notify the Membership Secretary as soon as possible.
Annual membership is $70.
Proceeding with the membership application is predicated on the following:
- I have reviewed the antidoping information and education material and completed the required lessons. (Application Procedure Step 2)
- I agree with and subscribe to the WCHM anti-doping policy.
- I certify that I am a member in good standing of my Provincial/Territorial Weightlifting Association and that I fully subscribe to all of the laws, rules and regulations of Weightlifting Canada Haltérophilie Masters (WCHM), including the WCHM antidoping agreement and the International Masters Weightlifting Association (IMWA). I furthermore pledge to follow all the principles of True Sport. In this calendar year, I am 30 years of age or older.
- WCHM Membership for Adaptive Athletes as Para Weightlifters: Adaptive athletes wishing to compete as Para Weightlifters are expected to be members of their Provincial Weightlifting Associations when such Weightlifting Canada Haltérophilie affiliates are actively promoting the inclusion of para weightlifting to their provincial weightlifting clubs, and inclusive of para weightlifters in local and/or provincial competitions.
