Director for the Advancement of Para Weightlifting and Para Sports Liaison
The President of the CMWFHCM has appointed Nalani Perry, from Bedford, Nova Scotia, as the Federation’s Director for the Advancement of Para Weightlifting. Scott Glass, the Para Weightlifting Advisor will assume the role of Para Sport Liaison. These appointments will help raise the awareness of para weightlifting as a viable group within our provincial, national and international weightlifting communities. Nalani will focus on promoting the inclusion of adaptive athletes as para weightlifters with Provincial Weightlifting Associations, Weightlifting Canada Haltérophilie, the IWF Masters and the Pan American Masters weightlifting federations. Scott will focus on promoting our sport to Canadian para sports organizations. Nalani and Scott will also serve as members of the Advisory Committee, a group within the organizational structure of the Federation that offers advice to the President and the Board.
